Terms and Conditions

 

Customer must place recycling cart cubside by 6:00 a.m. on the scheduled pick-up day and make sure the area is free and clear of all obstruction in order to be serviced on scheduled pick-up day.

RECYCLABLE MATERIALS. The material to be furnished Customer and collected by Mountain View Recycling as a part of this Agreement is the recyclable material owned and produced by Customer. A list of accepted recyclable materials is available online for reference. In the event that any material furnished to Mountain View Recycling by Customer is not an accepted recyclable material, Mountain View Recycling reserves the right to refuse that material. All recyclables shall be placed in an approved cart provided to the Customer. All materials picked up by Mountain View Recycling become property of Mountain View Recycling.


CANCELLATION. This Agreement is in effect until Customer provides notification of cancellation by emailing Mountain View Recycling at contact@mountainviewrecycling.com, by calling 480-321-9111 or sending written notice to P.O. Box 1810, Tempe, AZ, 85280-1810. Mountain View Recycling will pick up cart upon notification of cancellation date.


PAYMENTS BY CUSTOMER. Service fees are billed in advance on a quarterly basis and payments are non-refundable. No refund shall be issued for early termination during quartertly service period, including changes from home owner association rules or services. Payment shall be made by Customer to Mountain View Recycling within fourteen (14) days after receipt of an invoice from Mountain View Recycling. Mountain View Recycling may impose and Customer agrees to pay a late fee of $15 for all past due payments.

 

REFFERAL REWARDS PROGRAM. By referring our service to friends and neighbors a Customer can earn up to 3 FREE months of service each year. Customer is to make sure the referral enters their name or address in the "Referred by " box on the sign up for when they sign up for service. Each residential home can receive up to 3 referral credits per calendar year - 1 referral credit for 1 new paid service referral.
Not valid on past referrals or current balance due. Referred credits will be applied on the next billing cycle and constitute the last month of that billing cycle. Only one referral can be applied per quarterly billing cycle. Account must be up to date to use referral credits. Credit will only be applied once referred customer submits their payment. For yearly subscribers, all referral credits will be added to their account and the free months will be added at the end of their term. The renewal bill will be sent after the credits have been used.


LIABILITY FOR EQUIPMENT. Customer acknowledges that it has the care, custody and control of equipment owned by Mountain View Recycling and accepts responsibility and liability for the equipment and its contents except when it is being physically handled by employees of Mountain View Recycling. Therefore, Customer expressly agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Mountain View Recycling from and against any and all claims for loss of or damage to property, or injury to or death of person or persons, resulting from or arising in any manner out of Customer’s use, operation or possession of any equipment furnished under this Agreement.


SERVICE RATE ADJUSTMENT. Mountain View Recycling reserves the right, with Customer’s consent, to adjust the rates of service based upon increases in fuel costs, increase in disposal facility costs, increases in costs due to changes in federal, state or local laws, ordinances or regulations and increases in transportation costs due to a change in the location of disposal facilities. Written notice will be provide at least sixty (60) days prior to the effective date of the adjustment and will not become applicable until Customer’s next billing period.


EXCUSED PERFORMANCE. Neither party hereto shall be liable for its failure to perform or delay in performance hereunder due to contingencies beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, strikes, riots, fires and acts of nature, or compliance with any law, rule regulation or order, whether valid or invalid, of the United States of America, any state, any municipality or any other governmental body or any instrumentality thereof whether now existing or hereafter created. Customer will be notified prior to pick up date if special circumstances, such as holidays, require re-scheduling of pick up service.


BULK PICK UP SERVICES. If customer requires a pick-up services for a large amount of recyclables that do not fit into provided cart, a bulk pick-up services may be scheduled by contacting Mountain View Recycling. Bulk-pick up service is included in service fees and is no extra charge. Customer will need to notify Mountain View Recycling that a bulk pick up will be required. Bulk pick up service is included in the monthly fee, however Customer may not require bulk pick up service on a weekly basis.


SERVICES FOR THE DISABLED. If any Customer is unable to physically move recycling cart to end of driveway for pick up service, Mountain View Recycling will assist Customer as needed to pick up Customer's recyclables. Please contact Mountain View Recycling to make arrangements.

 

If you have received an overdue billing notice and it has been 7 days, we will attempt to contact you to let you know your cart will be collected on the next scheduled service day. If your cart has been collected and you wish to reinstate service, please contact us.
